My experience with Holborn Adams was absolutely positive!
I had a false allegation made against me and was arrested. Being from a different country and not having any criminal background, I didn't know what my rights were and was given the option of having a duty solicitor represent me during the interview with the police officer. That was an absolutely horrible experience as the duty solicitor clearly had no interest in helping me and made me see the whole thing as a lost case.
Fortunately, Fay Ashton took my case and showed me a different perspective of what criminal defense should be like and explained the importance of having a team specialised in pre-charge defense. She never judged me and always believed in my innocence, as well as always trying to give me reassurance and positivity, which can be hard when going through something serious like that. My case was dropped today, 3 months after it started, and I'm sure that wouldn't have been possible without Fay's strategies and precise arguments. We have recently got 'not guilty' verdict from our trial which was a great result indeed!! Firstly, I really appreciated the quick nature of this case. As soon as my parents had spoken to Holborn Adams over the phone, they mentioned to me how confident they were with selecting him as his knowledge and background in this particular case became increasingly evident. They believed there was a clear structure with how Holborn Adams was going to approach this case and make sure that we get the correct outcome as quick as possible.
Almost immediately, we arranged a zoom call for the following day in which we all got to meet and speak about the case in more detail, some key bits of information and the next steps. This was really beneficial for myself as it instantly made me feel more comfortable with what was going on as I knew that not only was this being worked on, but by someone who was incredibly experienced in dealing with these types of affusations.
A week later, Holborn Adams & I met in London during the evening to talk about the details of what happened that day/night. I must say Holborn Adams was fantastic that evening. He made sure we didn't miss a single bit of information from the moment I woke up to the moment I went to sleep the day of the accused event, but also allowed me to take as much time as I needed when discussing sensitive details. What was great was as soon as we had spoken about everything that was required, Holborn Adams knew what his next steps were and was very transparent with me on what these looked like.
I was then introduced to Ara who was very keen to get more of an understanding on myself as a person, asking questions such as my relationship with my family, details about my job and my university experience. I was then recommended to put forward two people who would give useful information about not only myself, but also about the day of the event. My understanding was that Ara arranged to speak very quickly with these individuals, which I massively appreciated.
Although things then went a little quiet, it was clear that a lot was going on behind the scenes, as a couple weeks later we set up a call to speak about any updates. They mentioned that there was a possibility that the police would take no further action due to their persistent emails and messages about myself and what happened that day. This gave us as a family significant hope and we were very grateful we were kept updated. Two days later I recieved the phone call that I was praying for, but never expected to come so soon that the case had been dropped.

Five months ago, my son was accused of ‘taking and making indecent photographs of a child’. The child was his 17-year-old ex-girlfriend and her allegation hit our family like a grenade.
I Googled “solicitor indecent images” on my phone and spoke to ‘Andrew Ford’ from Holborn Adams. It was a very helpful conversation. There was no clock ticking against the conversation and he gave what was really First Aid to our situation. His view was to nip the whole thing in the bud by using ‘Pre-Charge Representation.’
You won’t necessarily have heard of ‘Pre-Charge Representation’, I hadn’t. It is where your solicitor can represent you before there is even a charge; potentially halting proceedings before they ever take hold. This made total sense.
At this stage, the police had seized my son’s phone and were forensically searching it. We were automatically on the back foot. My son couldn’t remember the dates of things that happened. It had affected his health, he lost two stone, couldn’t eat, sleep or think without the constant worry going over and over things in his head about images that could devastate his life.

Holborn Adams expertly helped my 15 year old son after he got caught up with a group of youths misbehaving and causing criminal damage in a high street store. The store chain wanted to press charges and the police pursued the whole group under group enterprise.
